My mother worked for Disney Studios in Los Angeles the early 1940’s. These were given to her at the time. Original Mylar, matting and seals of authenticity are represented. The one of Peter Pig was dedicated to my mother ( see description). These are in extremely good condition considering their age. I look forward to learning more about them.

Hi Marley,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Disney’s The Sword in the Stone (1963) might not be as famous as Sleeping Beauty or The Jungle Book, but it’s an important film in Disney history. Based on T. H. White’s 1938 novel, it tells the early story of Arthur (Wart) before he becomes King Arthur. Guided by Merlin the wizard, Arthur learns lessons about leadership, wisdom, and intelligence through magical transformations — turning into animals to understand different perspectives.
Walt Disney died in 1966, so The Sword in the Stone is the final fully animated feature he personally oversaw before his death. This gives it special historical weight.
Other Sword In The Stone production cells of comparable composition that have sold at auction recently have brought prices ranging from $600-800.
