Vintage Disneyland decals—especially those from the 1950s through the 1970s—are small but fascinating collectibles that capture the park’s early design, marketing, and visual storytelling. Many decals date to Disneyland’s early years, beginning with its opening in 1955. They were sold in souvenir shops, gas stations, and sometimes as giveaways in promotions (e.g. travel brochures, AAA, or Standard Oil partnerships). Early decals are now highly collectible, as they were often applied and lost—making unused examples relatively rare.
Some retailers are asking in excess of $100 for these examples but when sold at auction, the fair-market (akin to wholesale) values are lower, more in line with $40-60.
