What does this mean?

This is an early 20th century French Louis style curved glass and gilded wood decorative display cabinet, which is also referred to as a vitrine. Generally the bottom panels would have a scene painted in each which is termed 'vernis martin'. Yours appears to be painted with a faux woodgrain. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales. Retail 'asking' prices may be higher and vary.
