24 inch tall doll. All porcelain. Mouth is closed. Glass eyes. Blue eyes. Long Blonde hair. 6 piece jointed body. Dress and hat are blue satin with beige lace.
My mother bought it from a doll collector in 1993. I do have a previously appraised amount but not sure who did the appraisal so it may not be reliable.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a cute doll. Such collectors dolls are being offered at auction on a regular basis. The doll was made in the late 1900s and is a copy of how dolls looked in the beginning of the 1900s. It is made in bisque and has a hairstyle and clothes that resemble the early 1900s. This was a popular theme for collectors dolls made around the turn of the century to the 21st century. Today you see quite a few of these dolls for sale on different platforms and auctions. Unfortunately the price today is not much higher than original retail price. However it is a very cute doll and appears to be in good condition which of course is good for a sales price.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online toys auction, where I believe the doll has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the collectors doll. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
