This is a large beautiful and unusual painting measuring 61" x 61" on canvas. It has a machete type application simulating waves breaking on rocks? It has textured 3d effect. I believe it is from a Japanese artist. My mom acquired the piece in the 70's or 80's and I recall her saying she paid $10,000 at the time. One of the photos shows the artist's mark. Needs good cleaning from storage.
Yvonne Anderson (my mom) -- she bought it but I don't know how.
Dear William,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. For deciphering the signature or the monogram we need a bit time. I ask you for some patience.
With kind regards,
Georg
I have uploaded photos of the rear of painting.
Still try to figure out by contacting other sources. I'm sorry for the delay.

Have you given up trying to find out about this painting?
I'm sorry for the late reaction. Your request went to a folder I did not notice before..I'm sorry to say that we could not find any extra information about the painting to get close to a descend appraisal. Its quite a modern piece and not all artists are that well described or have made some auction results that we are able to find information. As an unknown maker the work certainly is interesting but in terms of value strongly depends on what the market want to pay for it. I could imagine it would fetch 300 to 500 euro for someone who loves the work. Again if we would find the maker of the work our estimation would probably be more precise.

Hi,
We try to find out more. Any change of adding a picture of the back of the whole painting ?
