Hi Cheryl,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This is a 1930s Art Deco dressing table or vanity with walnut veneers enhanced by vivid tiger-maple panels. I do agree that the feet are atypical - more like colonial revival brackets - but I've not found another example close enough upon which to base an attribution.
The market for Art Deco furniture is a bit uneven at the moment with fewer collectors than it once had.
If this were to come to auction, I would expect it to fetch prices ranging from $400-600.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A near antique Art Deco walnut and maple veneered mirrored vanity
unattributed maker, possibly Australian or European, circa 1930s
Height: 34 inches; width: 36 inches; depth: 14 inches
CONDITION: With minor wear commensurate to age and use.
PROVENANCE: Inherited
AUD $ 400-600*
