Thank you for your email. I checked the monograms and the paintings in style and motif by Edward Mitchell BANNISTER (1833-1901) and they differ sadly in each of these categories to your painting. Can you send me the link to the painting you found?

Could this be an Edward Mitchell Bannister seascape? I found one of his paintings with just initials signed in the corner.
