2 horns or tusks . one is 18 inches long on a 1 3/4 inch thick wood base . the other is 16 inches long on a 1 3/4 inch thick wood base . Am eagle is engraved in each one . no initials or writing .

Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A near-pair of vintage engraved scrimshaw horns
Possibly Native American/Eskimo origin, late 20th Century
Each horn ebonized with carved stylized eagle decoration to one side, the reverse uncarved, on contemporary wooden bases.
One is 18 inches long on a 1 3/4 inch thick wood base
Other is 16 inches long on a 1 3/4 inch thick wood base
CONDITION: both appear to be in very good condition
$400-600 for the pair*
