Round glass - I call it stained glass, but that might not be the correct term - decorative panel. Ringed with metal that does not attract a magnet. Metal has a 'trough' around the outside that I assume other panels would have sat in. Figure holding book and quill with halo around her/his head. Trees and perhaps a castle in the background. Birds at the figure's feet. Glass is damaged directly over the birds but other than light scratching that is the only spot of damage I see. Wire hook is attached to the upper rim of the metal, but looks like it was added later. Piece weighs nearly a pound and measures about 8 5/8" in diameter. Glass has quite a lot of tiny bubbling. Please let me know if there is anything else you need to know. I am really interested to know how old this piece is, and of course an estimated value. Thank you!

Local historical society was having a "Chinese Auction" fundraiser. This item was donated by a local antique dealer, though he didn't know how old it was or where it came from. I was lucky enough to win it.
