These are 6 sketchbooks that belonged to Ernst Platz dating from 1890 to 1931. The sketchbooks all have different dimensions ranging from 5.25x8.25 to 12.75x9.75 inches. Four of the books are mostly to completely filled with sketches. Two larger books have only several pages filled. The covers on the books show wear and some damage, but the sketches are in good condition. Many of the sketches are signed and dated, and include people, animals, buildings, and landscapes.
