This is an antique, late 19th century to early 20th century, late Victorian era, Art Nouveau influenced style, etagere or decorative display shelf with beveled mirror backing and turned wood spindles. Technically this is not a 'signed and numbered' piece, which is really a term reserved for limited edition prints and sculptures. The notations on this were in-house factory and store inventory numbers which do not impact the value of the piece. This appears to use oak and was more than likely manufactured in America. The Victorian furniture market is currently slumped. Pieces, even the original period pieces, do not sell for what they used to sell for a few decades ago. The market was further impacted by the Recession. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
