Dear Sosefina,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. So that I may best assist you, can you please let me know if your work is signed?
Thank you,
Karine
Hi Karine, my husband look at it again and believe that is a signature below the paint. I blow up the photo again so you can see it better. Also, I can feel the texture of the paint all around. Hope this helps. Thank you.
Dear Sosefina,
Thank you for getting back to us so quickly.
Please find below a description along with an estimate of your work.
According to the photographs provided, your work appears to be unsigned. It seems to me that this is a copy of an old school Dutch painting executed around the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th century.
Therefore, the estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and similar still-life paintings without artist attribution, dating from the 1880s to the 1920s. The current condition (based on photographs provided) has been taken into consideration when determining the estimate.
Best regards,
Karine
