Office desk with conference table
my dad
This is a vintage Mid-20th century, late Art Deco style from the late 1940's wooden (likely walnut) executive kidney desk with chrome hardware and additional conference table section that was manufactured by the Stow & Davis Furniture Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Stow & Davis was established in 1885 and they continue to manufacture to this day. In 1928, Stow & Davis produced the first steel and wood desks. This desk was likely designed by Giacomo “Jack” Buzzitta who joined the company as lead office furniture designer in 1936 through 1975.

Vintage streamlined desks by Stow & Davis do well on the market. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
From Bernie - "he believe the shapes are similar to the one's FLR use. There has been attached any markings"
"not been attached"
Bernie adds "There were no markings I could find. The desk is easily over 80 years old."
Thank you for finding the maker tag on this
Please check the drawers for any maker marks, labels or tags and send images if any are found. How is the desk attributed to being a Frank Lloyd Wright design? Was it acquired from an office/building designed by Wright?
