Antique French Armoire - Rich women used them to carry around all their stuff. Height - 92" - Width - 72" - Depth - 24"
I remember this piece has been in my family home since at least 1967. My mom liked it and kept it in her room through several moves. She said its pretty old and French. Far as I can see it is in very good condition inside and outside. All the drawers work good and the light / switch are new.
Although this is done in what is usually initially referred to as French, this is an antique, late 18th to early to mid 19th century, Dutch Buffet a Deux Corps, which is a 2-door cabinet over a 3-drawer bombe dresser. It is hand carved, hand painted and done in a Rococo style with French Provincial influences. The center crest is done in a swag and garland with tassel motif and the doors are wire front. The piece has been updated with interior painting and electrified for interior lighting.
Hello Nora, I have input some pictures of the details as you suggested. The lining / shelving and the light were there as long as I remember it. I replaced the light in 2018 with an LED. If you need further details, just let me know... Thank you for working with me.
There are still no additional requested images and information on my end here.
