Carved wood with glass top
Bought from an Acquaintance around 40 years ago.
This is a 20th century, hand carved, Italianate table with tri-foot pedestal base with female nude figurals. The table is a Renaissance Revival style and is influenced by Venetian Italian furniture from the 1400s and 1500s. The bas-relief carved top, under the glass, resembles the iconic figure used for the graphic posters for Les Miserables depicting the young Cosette. The estimate is based on actual recent past auction sales of comparables.
At your convenience, please add well-lit in-focus images of the underside of the table some close-ups of the details of the carvings at the base.
