Dear Shari,
Thank you for the additional information. Your collection of Furnivals Quail is made out of ironstone, which has been decorated with a brown transferred scene. Based on the Registration Number under the back-stamp, your set dates from the 1920s, and it appears to be in good condition. Furnivals Earthenware factory was located in Stokes-on- Trent in the Staffordshire region of England and started as "J&T Furnivals" in 1851 for Jacob and Thomas Furnivals. In 1865 the company changed its name to "T Furnivals and Sons," and in 1890, when Thomas Furnival retired, and the sons took over the company, it became known as "Furnivals." The company was sold to the Bailey family in 1913, and they renamed to company "Furnival, 1913". The rights to the Furnival name and patterns were purchased by Enoch Wedgwood (Tunstall) Ltd in 1968. They continued to produce ware with the Furnival back-stamp into the 1970s. The Quail pattern was one of the most popular designs produced by the company. Based on recent price realization for collections similar to yours, a Fair Market Estimate would be between 300 and 600 US dollars.
Thanks,
Morgan
