The cameo glass lamp with the mushroom form shade with the oddly obscured 'Galle' type signature on it is not an original from France nor from the period in which true Galle was being produced. It is essentially a 'fake' and produced to deceive, especially if not sold with a clear and transparent disclosure that this is "Galle-Style". These are being produced in both China and the Czech Republic. If there is also a crack in the shade any decorative re-sale value is diminished.
