What does this mean?

Hello Linda,

I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal,

Considering the photographs, overall pattern, glass quality and the colours, I concluded that this is an Entirely Hand Cut Bohemian Set of Wine Glasses. The pieces date back to the period from 1960 to 1980. Bohemian tradition of hand cut glasses are going way back to the 14th century. These sets are usually made in single colours but rainbow sets became more and more common in late 1970's and early 1980's. The pieces are decorated with floral motifs each. There are pieces in six different colours which include, dark green, yellow, red, dark blue, orange and burgundy. The piece were made in Europe, Poland. The pieces are %24 Lead Crystal. Which is a clarity degree. The bases of the piece are also designed by hand cut floral motifs but in a simpler style. The stems of the pieces are not colourful. This is a very colourful and decorative set formed by the long tradition of crystal glass making of the Bohemian heritage. Poland is not in this Bohemian area but the tradition is followed as such. The pieces are in good codnition without any visible problems.

Entirely hand cut.
