Geometric glass vase - possibly Murano
This is a Italian Mid-Century modern polyhedron glass vase in a deep wine red (almost purple) color with clear bottom. It has a geometric multi-side diamond cut shape. At first glance the vase looks black, but when the light shines on or through it, it is clearly a deep wine red verging on purple. It is 7.5” high. The width at the bottom is a 1.5” square. The top is a 1” square. The opening to the vase is not symmetrical, but is about 1/2” square. There are some small bubbles that can be seen in the clear glass as a result of the glass blowing process.
The vase belonged to either my grandmother or one of my great aunts on my father’s side, was passed down to him, and has recently become mine after he passed away. It was likely purchased sometime in the mid 1950s to the mid 1960s.

I've seen a lot of Murano glass in my career and this doesn't strike me as being a part of the production of the island; I also can't place it within another Art Glass studio. If there are any marks, inscriptions or labels please let me know
