There should be some marks on this to identify the silversmith = if you can find them, can you please take a photo or two and add it to this appraisal? It could impact the value significantly, and will tell me if this is sterling (.225), .800 silver or silverplate.

Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A German Victorian Style Silver Plated Wine Cooler or Covered Punchbowl
early 20th Century
With an eagle finial over chased and domed cover, the body with two handles, gadrooned trim, monogrammed H within a chased cartouche, on a footed base. With a glass liner (unseen). Purportedly unmarked.

CONDITION: This appears to be in generally good condition; value assumes no breaks, repairs or losses.
