Hello,
The tea bowl presented is a Famille Rose porcelain piece, likely from the late Qing Dynasty (19th to early 20th century). The Famille Rose (粉彩, fěn cǎi) decoration is characterized by vibrant pastel enamels, which became prominent in Chinese porcelain production during the Kangxi period (1661-1722) and continued into the late Qing era. The floral motif, particularly peonies, symbolizes wealth, prosperity, and honor in Chinese culture. The yellow background further enhances its significance, as yellow was historically reserved for imperial use.
The gilded elements around the rim and floral patterns indicate high-quality craftsmanship, possibly for export or elite use. The condition of the piece shows some fading, which is expected for an antique, but the overall integrity appears intact.
