The appraised work is a Giorgetti ‘Progetti’ armchair possibly designed by Umberto Asnago in 1987. The frame of the chair appears to be beech with stained armrests and covered in a cloth material. The condition appears good and commensurate with age. Giorgetti is a well known Italian furniture manufacturer based near Milan. The first factory was established by Luigi Giorgetti in 1898, and his pieces were soon marked by their superior wood craftsmanship, a distinction Giorgetti is still known for today. The estimate provided is based on comparables recently offered and sold at auction. In many cases, pricing for similar examples available on the primary (retail) market vary, and are often higher than secondary (auction) market examples.
