This is a 17" X 27" oil painting. There is no name and there are no initials to identify the painter. The frame you see in the photographs were on the painting when it was given to me.
This painting was given to me by a friend whose uncle gave it to him. Other than that the origin is unknown.
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a very charming Portrait of a young girl, sitting on a chair. The quality of the painting is excellent. It would be of the same level as paintings by Emil FUCHS (1866-1929), who was an austrian-american painter and sculptor. He moved to New York when he had to leave Great Britain. Without a signature it would be attributed to the artist. The estimate is based on similar paintings of similar quality sold at auction.
Good Morning, Klaus - This is very complimentary and helpful. I am happy you like the painting as do I. Thank you so much. Vickie
