3” semi sphere glass with flowers
Bought in Italy in the 1950’s
Dear Jeffrey,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a paperweight made out of the glass with the measurements of 3-inch diameter. Such pieces are typical for Italy and the glass product of Venice. It was made out of two glass layers on transparent and a colorful so-called "Millefiori" layer. This piece is not signed and was made in the second half of the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 20 to 40 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
