Suspect it to be Murano glass circa 1930s. Kneeling female figure holding a bowl, maybe for a candle. Bowl has been repaired before I owned it. Hands are metal?

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The flaw of this design is that putting any weight in the bowl will compromise the integrity of the hands and arm supports and I strongly suspect the metal banding was added as part of the repair when the bowl was broken.
Pino Signoretto and Loredano Rosin both made kneeling women figures but neither featured ones with arms extended and carrying a bowl.
It may be that this figurine is marked or signed on the edge of the base or the underside. As I have appraised this as by an "unknown" or "unattributed" maker, the value may change if we can identify the maker, so please let me know.
As an unattributed and repaired figurine, this has a fair-market value of AUD $100-150.
