What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This is a still life of roses in a vase, signed lower right "Gruner", possibly oil on board. There are a few artists with the same name listed, unfortunately none of these artist works in this particular style. I would assume that this is the work of an unknown talented amateur artist active in the 1940s. Still life paintings of similar quality sell for only low prices, the sentimental value is often much higher.
