These were gifted to me 25 years ago from an older couple of which the husband was military and had traveled. There are no markings and the chairs appear to be hand carved.

A pair of carved maple corner sidechairs
In the Aesthetic Movement style, American or English, early 20th Century
Each with a two-sided squared back with incised vasiform splats, the square seat over-the-rail upholstered in light green velvet with trim, raised on four turned and tapering legs joined by a box stretcher.
Each chair 28 inches high, 16 1/2 inches wide, 16 inches deep
CONDITION: both appear to be in generally good condition with some wear commensurate to age and use.
PROVENANCE: gift from a friend 25 years ago
