Dear Jeneva,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a pair of small-sized rugs with the measurements of 1ft 6 1/2 inches wide and 10.5 inches lengths. Both rugs have an floral decor and were probably made in Persia in the second half of the 20th century. It appears that they were made out of silk and probably in the area of Ghom.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
Dear Jeneva,
Such rugs and this motifs are quite often on the market because many of such rugs were exported. So this is a good base for an estimation based on images.
With kind regards,
Georg
Is this an exact appraisal or should it be taken in somewhere so someone can really examine it
