Hand Painted Nippon
A hand painted Japanese ceramic Vase (Nippon) 5" in diameter, nearly 12" in height, and in great condition.
My grandfather was a collector of many things and handed this down to me.

This is a great piece; it's unfortunate that the market for Japanese export porcelain is not what it used to be but it has great presence and wonderful merit. The 'M' mark on the bottom is for the Morimura Bros, which was the precursor to Noritake.
Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An antique Japanese export hand-painted parcel gilt and enamel decorated vase
Morimura Brothers, Nippon, Japan, mark dates to 1911-1921
With two large landscape medallions joined by stylized decoration
12 inches high, 5 inches diameter
