Handcrafted wooden dresser
Maple wood. 34" tall and 51"x24" at the top. Has some very old looking key holes on each of the drawers. I can't seem to find a manufacturer on it unfortunately
It was in a house that I bought about 15 years ago from a very old family. Somebody who looked at it, told me it is probably about 100 years old

This chest is more likely closer to 200 years old and would have been made prior to industrialized furniture production, when makers began to label their furniture. It's possible that there is a faint and mostly indiscernible inscription in either chalk or graphite (pencil) with the maker's name, though that is a rare occurrence.
Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An American Empire mahogany veneered chest of drawers
Probably Mid Atlantic States (possibly Pennsylvania), early 19th Century
The rectangular top with double-rounded front over a corresponding case fitted with two short drawers over two long drawers, all on scrolled legs.
34 inches tall, 51 inches wide, 24 inches deep
PROVENANCE: client acquired this when it was in a house he purchased
CONDITION: Condition appears to be largely commensurate with age and use; some splits and separations to veneers, and possible water damage visible to the base on one side.
