family owned
This is an antique dressing table and chest of drawers; the date would be your knowledge from where your ancestor was living and of age to build the furniture piece. Stylisticallt, it could date to the late 19th century up to the 1930's. This is referred to as a 'vernacular' piece, meaning it was home made and not manufactured in a factory or atelier. The materials were resourcefully found, as the wood used for this 3-drawer dresser with lyre swivel mirror atop are from Polar Dynamite crate boxes. This will have more sentimental value, being a family piece, than monetary value. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
