This set is marked Haviland Limoges and Co., H & Co. Depose. There are 52 pieces consisting of 1 chocolate pot w/lid, 1 pitcher, a large sugar bowl or small cookie jar w/lid, a fruit bowl, 2 platters, 11 cups, 11 saucers, 12 small bowls, and 12 plates. These pictures were taken before the 10th and 11th cup and saucer were located. No two pieces have the same mix of patterns which consist of many kinds of flowers and berries in blue-grey and beige trimmed in gold. I can't find the name of the pattern anywhere and have no idea what it may be worth.
My mother inherited it from her mother, who inherited it from her mother, so it originated with my great grandmother. It's probably close to 100 years old.
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a Haviland Limoges set from circa 1887 judging from the porcelain marks. The decoration is transfer printed, the gilding possibly applied by hand. Similar sets are available at auction on a regular basis. The estimate is based on auction results for sets of similar design and size actually sold at auction. If offered separately, building small lots, e.g. cups, serving platters etc. the result would be a little higher than the high estimate. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the item.
