I actually have two paintings by the artist. One is 20.75 x 20.75, the other 30 x 23. Both are framed. I acquired them from someone who was going to give them to Goodwill. They are what i would call "semi-abstract" and vividly multi-colored. One has two discernible faces in black, the other a few small depictions of cars, trucks and books. The smaller one appears to have a few cut-outs applied before being painted over. The larger one the following info written on the backing of the frame: Hector Duarte, "Las Bodas Del Coyote, 1995
Retrieved from an acquaintance who was throwing them out.

Any news on my appraisal?
i am under the impression appraisals are to be done in 48 yours. It has been several days since i was asked to designate one of the two paintings i sent pictures of. Is something delaying the process? I am anxious to find out about either of my Hector Duarte paintings. It does not matter. Please let me know if there is a problem.
Dear Patrick,
Thank you for the additional information and your patience. Sadly regarding technical problems, the new images and messages were not displayed. I apologize for the delay. The presented object mixed media artwork on paper with unknown measurements. It depicts the portrait of a couple and a coyote like a mask in red in the middle. This artwork is signed by Hector Duarte and titled and dated on the reverse side with "Las Bodas Del Coyote" 1995. Hector Duarte was born in 1952 in Caurio, Mexico and works and lives in Chicago. He belongs to the street art movement and is mainly famous for large-sized murals. Sadly the work of Hector Duarte is not sold in auctions and his artwork is sold directly over galleries. For an estimation of artwork in the possession of a private person, we have to adapt the estimation to the auction market. If you would sell this artwork you can just offer it in this secondary auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
A base auction estimation would be between 300 to 600 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
Thank you for the information regarding this painting and for your appraisal. Since I have no particular interest in this painting (or the second one by Duarte) could you tell me how i might go about selling them?
Dear Patrick,
Sadly these objects do not fit into our profile. I recommend you to offer them directly over eBay or a local auction house.
With kind regards,
Georg
Please appraise the larger of the two. With the title "Las Bodas del Coyote" on the back. --thanks
