Mountain landscape with figures, horses and buildings
oil on card
card 5 by 6 1/2 inches, framed in an ebonized frame with gilt lining
signed indistinctly lower left
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition
PROVENANCE: inherited

Hello Delia, It looks to be a thin cut wooden panel. As far as the signature goes I have another one of this persons work and I will try to get a pic of that so we have 2 examples. I am out of town for week but when I get back I will send over to you.

I honestly have no idea. It looks like the first name ends with a fancy Z. That's about all I can tell

Hi Steve,
It looks to me like the first letter of the first name is a K or an H - and I agree that the first name ends in Z...I've tried several combinations of those letters in the artist databases we use and am not finding anything close enough to make an attribution (it happens sometimes). I've valued this on its size and artistic merit.
