Howard Miller model number 611-005. In great condition.
7 ft 2 inches tall. Base is 2 ft wide
Hi Eric,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Howard Miller's 611-005 model was known as the "Arendal" and was part of their Furniture Trend Designs Collection; I can't find out when it was first released but was produced as late as 2015. The model takes its name from 18th and 19th Century Scandinavian designs, specifically the swelling body and use of veneers. It was usually finished in Tuscany Cherry and had a Westminster Chime movement, which it looks like yours includes.
Howard Miller clocks have a good reputation among all but antiquarian collectors who prefer historically produced timepieces (ie, the original clocks that this model and others were designed after).
Despite differences in models, most Howard Miller clocks that come to auction these days sell for comparatively modest prices, usually for less than $1,000 and often for around $500. Note that the secondary market - auction - is considerably less than the primary (retail) market, where prices could be as much as a few thousand for this clock. If you are thinking of selling this clock, I would advise asking between $1000 and $1500, depending on the condition.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
