Sweet Music
My mother
Good morning, Jan,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. So that I may best assist you, can you please specify the size and, also, take a photograph of the underside so I can see the mark (the marks changed over time and that will allow me to date this more accurately).
Thanks!
Delia
Thanks for the dimensions and the photograph of the mark.
Hummel figures are pricey when new but for the most part do not retain much of that value at auction (which are the values Mearto provides.). In most cases, Hummel figures are auctioned in large groups, with individual figures rarely sold on their own but I’ve found a few sales of this figure selling on its own, but none for more than $20.
Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A Hummel painted porcelain collectible figurine
“Sweet Music” No. 186
Made by Goebels of West Germany, 1979-1990
5 inches tall; base 2 ¾ inches
$10-15*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price (such as seen on eBay, Etsy, Replacements or RubyLane) may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you for using Mearto.
I added photos of the bottom and back. Item is 5" tall and the disc diameter is 2 3/4". Thank you.
