Little girl with basket and pigtails
Grandmother
Hi Barbara,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. So that I may best assist you, can you please advise on the size (Height) of this figure? I ask because Hummel often made these figures in several different sizes and there can be some variation in value between sizes.
Thanks!
Delia
Sounds good, Barbara, thanks for the update...
Hi - Yes the figurine in question is 4.5", including the base. thanks for your patience and help!
Barbara
Thanks so much, Barbara!
Hummels are so plentiful on the market these days that supply far outweighs demand and unfortunately, while people ask quite a bit for them on sites like eBay and Ruby Lane, they rarely bring more than $10-50 at auction, which are the values Mearto provides.
Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Hummel porcelain "schoolgirl" figurine
made by the Goebels factory, West Germany, date mark for 1950-1955
model #81/0
4 1/2 inches tall
$20-30*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you again for using Mearto.
My granddaughter has the figurine and I am awaiting her response to my request for an exact measurement. She is very much like another one that I have that measures 4.5" including the 3/8" base. I will confirm this as soon as I hear from her.
Thank you
