Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a very cute doll. Such vintage toys and dolls are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The company IDEAL made many variations of dolls that each got their own name and special features. They were made in the 1950s and were made of vinyl and the first variations of plastic. This Vanity Ann doll is very well kept and has the original clothes intact. It does not appear to have any signs of wear or use or time tarnish which is good for the selling price. It is a collectors item and I am quite sure that it would attract the attention of both collectors and dealers if it came up for auction. However the prices for IDEAL dolls is still fairly reasonable.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online toys auction, where I believe the doll has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the Ideal Vanity Ann doll. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
Hello and thank you for the appraisal! I don't have any sentimental ties to this doll. I have found it in a box of things while going through my moms house. I would very much like to sell it to someone who would value it. What is the best way to do this?
