I'm not sure what the name Lyons refers to; this was not made in Lyons, France so possibly a vendor by that name.

A Vintage Indo-Persian hand-knotted wool Bidjar carpet
made in Iran, first half 20th Century
Centering an elongated hexagonal medallion with a light blue ground, on a larger red ground, with dark blue spandrels, densely patterned allover, with cream selvedges.
