Possibly 1940s long navy dress 100% wool, but finely processed in Italy to appear closer to the linen look than modern wool. Lining appears to be silk. Two tags: 1 for Italian designer Ing. Loro Piana & C (now Loro Piana) stating the fabric was made by them in Italy from 100% Zelander New Zealand Merino wool. Second tag is a Brooks Brothers tag that says “woven in Italy.” Ankle length dress in navy blue. Pristine condition aside from a tiny wear hole on one sleeve.
