What does this mean?

Hi Chris,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The Iroquois China Company began producing pottery for the Henry Ford Museum in the late 1960s, receiving in 1965 an exclusive license to reproduce and sell replicas of the museum's historic 18th and 19th century fine china; your set is part of that and would have been sold at the museum's gift shops.
While unnamed, this pattern is quite attractive and serviceable; unfortunately, the market for mid/late 20th Century museum-reproduction china is quite soft and while this may have retailed for a few to several hundred dollars when it was new, collectors now are rarely willing to pay more than $1-2 PER PIECE on average. Because you have a few large serving pieces and (largely) a matching number of place settings, I've upgraded that to $75-125 for the set.

Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A vintage 34-piece Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village part dinner service
made by Iroquois, after 1965, comprising:
6 dinner plates
8 luncheon, salad or dessert plates
8 bread and butter plates
8 small bowls (fruit?)
1 large bowl
1 sugar bowl
1 cream pitcher
1 tea or coffee pot
CONDITION: This set appears to be in generally good condition; value assumes no chips, breaks, repairs or losses.
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$75-125 for the set*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.

Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, or questions/concerns, and thank you again for using Mearto.

Hi I took a couple pictures of the bottom. They all have the identical markings

HI Chris,
Thank you very much for the photos. I noticed there was a large coffee or tea pot that was not included in your original description so I've added that it. This appraisal is all set unless you have questions, concerns, etc.
Thanks again for using Mearto and have a great day!
