This is a pair of Louis XV style ornate candlesticks, made of gilt (gold coated) bronze, which is often called "ormolu" or "bronze doré". They feature heavy, asymmetrical twisting scroll motifs seen in the baluster-shaped shaft decorated with spiraling foliage.

The appeal of gilt-bronze candlesticks of this size is largely aesthetic and historical rather than intrinsic: they offer a relatively small, affordable way to bring the visual vocabulary of French decorative arts and European court interiors into a room. They are substantial enough to read as sculpture but small enough for practical display.

The "TM" and "14" marks are not ones used on late 19th century pieces, suggesting these are 20th Century, and probably from the mid 20th Century; at that age, the term "vintage" is more appropriate than "antique".

Related ormolu pairs of candlesticks that have sold at auction for fair market prices ranging from $200 to $400 but if you're thinking of selling these privately, I would strongly suggest pricing this pair at $600 or $700. At that level, you will protect yourself from underselling these while being competitive with other similar candlesticks currently retailing online.
