What does this mean?

Indeed Japanese tea set I think from around 1950. These where mass produced in the 1930ties up to the 1960ties in Satsuma ( province of Japan ). They were famous for making these tea sets specially for export to the western countries. They are not rare and not very sought after yet. Antiques of the future.
