Gold Japanese vase. Looks ceramic , 11 inches high. The painting on the vase has a pathway leading to a house that looks very similar to the Japanese vase artist Satsuma, however marking on bottom doesn't match.
It was given to my parents as a wedding gift in 1960.
Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a japanese Arita porcelain moriage decorated porcelain Vase of the 1920s. The laurel or floral wreath surrounded "made in Japan" mark can not be identified. It is most likely one of the not yet identified Noritake Company marks. The front of the Vase is decorated with a japanese landscape Scene, surrounded by foliage, heightened with gloss gilded moriage. The two handles on the shoulder show Lion heads in relief. The estimate is based on similar offered or sold at auction. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to it.
