This appears to be a painting by Johan Frederik Cornelius SCHERREWITZ (1868-1951) depicting in the foreground a dutch farmer about to cross a small ditch with a cow standing behind him, a small thatched roof farm building in the background. In an ornate gesso frame. The estimate is based on similar paintings sold at auction. Beach scenes by this artist sell for considerably more.
There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the item.
