What does this mean?

John Danks and Sons was an English manufacturing business for plumbing fittings and fixtures that was established in Melbourne, Victoria in 1857. The company grew substantially and were responsible for the connectors in the Yan Yean Reservoir. The late 19th and early 20th centuries saw many innovations for fixtures in water closets. This is an antique ironstone toilet pan which was located in a hotel in Melbourne. Buyers today tend to repurpose these as decorative lawn planters. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables.
