John Stephan of Carnaby London Floral Print Shirt: bright blue button-up collared shirt with white, yellow, and gold daisy floral print. Double button cuffs, curved hem, pointed collar Seems to be missing the top button. Otherwise, it’s in perfect condition. I do not see a care instruction label but it feels like crisp, medium weight, 100% cotton.
Shoulder to front (curved) hem: 27” Shoulder to back hem: 29” Pit to pit: 20” Sleeves: 24.5
Hi Kristina,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
John Stephan of Carnaby, London is most associated with the 1960s–early 1970s British fashion scene, especially the influential Carnaby Street area of London’s West End. Carnaby Street was a global symbol of “Swinging London,” youth culture, and the rise of creative street fashion.
The market for vintage UK menswear is on the rise and while most secondary auction houses don't hold menswear-specific sales, I think it's a matter of time. For now, Augusta Auctions in VT is one of the only US-based vintage and antique clothing-only auction houses; if they were to consider this for auction, it would likely be priced between $150 and $250.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, or questions/concerns, and thank you again for using Mearto.
