A new hand knotted Indo-Persian high quality (appx 720 KPSI) carpet. Pure Silk on Cotton foundation, commissioned by Indigo Naturally (Jaipur, India) in the Kashmiri Tabriz style. I bought it at the Indigo Naturally showroom in Jaipur India and had it shipped it here last month. I paid a little over 10k for the piece.

Hello, this item is a hand-knotted Indo-Persian silk carpet produced in Jaipur, India, in a Kashmiri Tabriz revival style, very recent in manufacture. The extremely fine weave you show, together with the silk pile on a cotton foundation and the high knot density, aligns with modern luxury workshop production aimed at the export market. The design, with its radial medallion and dense floral field, is directly inspired by classical Tabriz compositions but executed with the precision and uniformity typical of contemporary Indian ateliers. The certificate confirms origin and workshop attribution, although these documents are commercial rather than academic and do not add significant independent value.
The condition appears excellent and essentially new, which is expected given the recent purchase. These carpets often carry high retail prices in showrooms, especially above $10,000 USD, but the secondary market behaves differently due to oversupply and limited collector demand for modern silk pieces. Based on current market performance, the fair market value is approximately $3,500 to $6,000 USD.
