An antique Japanese brass mounted Paulowniawood stacking chest on chest (Kimono Biraki Isho Tansu)
appears to be 20th Century
Of rectangular section, comprised of three brass mounted stacked units, topped by one with three sliding drawers behind hinged closet doors, the middle one of three long drawers, the lower with three stacked short drawers next to two stacked long drawers; all on a box base.
64 inches tall, 48 inches wide, 15 inches deep
CONDITION: with a dry faded finish but otherwise appears to be in good condition
PROVENANCE: acquired in Japan in the 1970s, then inherited
