The presented object appears to be a cold painted alabaster sculpture with the measurements of 2 ft height. The sculpture depicts a girl with goods for the market. Under the bottom, we see a not clearly readable signature. It could be interpreted as "G. Tochini" or "G. Pochini". There is an Italian sculptor named Galileo POCHINI known who worked in alabaster. His sculptures depict mainly busts, standing persons and rarely cute motifs like children. His sculptures are never painted and this cold painting was probably made later. This lowers the estimate because it is a changing of the original condition.
